The touch of a word
brings about the emergence into the world of painting.
These works express the
mutual relationship between plastic art and the written
word. The texts capturing my imagination and my senses
are taken from the Bible and from books of hebrew poetry
and literature.
Due to the intensity of
the text and my identification with it, I felt the need
to move forward, to continue at the point where the poet
had stopped and to provide visual expression to pictures
of language that continue to excite, empower or even
shock. The metaphors tend to gain an independent
existence for themselves while we bring a new world to
the canvas, a world that is subject to internal
legitimacy of its own.
